I am suffering from the dreaded Post-Holiday Sugar-Crash. I don't know what to do with myself anymore if I'm not shoving delicious sugar encrusted fat in festive holiday colors into my pie hole.
I wake up and run to the kitchen only to see a counter full of dishes from dinner the night before. There's no snowman tin full of homemade mini-custard treats, there aren't any homemade marshmallows to pop into my mouth as I grind my coffee beans, there are no Candy Cane Joe Joes to give me that little pep in my step in the late afternoon. I don't walk around the house covered in a light dusting of powdered sugar after hitting the Russian tea cakes container on the fridge.
Nothing but green beans and toast and (gasp) salad. I find myself snuffling around in the fridge and pantry at frequent intervals during the day. Something has got to give. I can't quit cold-turkey just like that.
Must. Make. Hot. Cocoa.

Too bad you don't have one of those things that helps you make hot chocolate. You know. Like from Williams Sonoma.
Exactly.
I'm starving right now because I finally threw away the last of the sugared pecans, the last of the (very stale, but better than nothing) Christmas cookies, the peanut brittle. I guess it's celery city for me.
