Oh, she did not just post on posting.

I read The Pioneer Woman pretty religiously. I get all giddy when I see that she's updated her site (or sites - she has a cooking one as well). She's wonderful. She has great recipes, a great self-deprecating sense of humor, she's informative - she'll give little Photoshop seminars, and her photography, oh her photography. Holy Cow. I love it. I am inspired by it. And no where else have I seen such comradery in the comments section. These people are nice and they're chatty! PW is focused. She has a purpose, drive, sense of theme to her site.

Now we take a look at moi. Aimless

So I started my blog as a place to document my kids' milestones ('cause Lordy, I don't think I've even cracked the binding open on BusterBrown's and Peanut's - I think I put her name in it at some point) and then Mama DB turned into a place to vent. These days it is a place I post my silly photos because what else are you going to do with 210 photos of a bowl of eggs you took as you were testing depth of field? I know, sensible people would delete them so as not to be paralyzed in embarrassment later when they realize that 300 people have glanced at the Cherrio Egg Boat you made that morning (and I didn't even present it on a clean plate!) or have your entire hard drive clogged with well, egg cups and hot water bottles.

I knew of about 4 people (hi, y'all!) that were reading this but was SHOCKED to find many more drop by here daily (Hi! again). I've decided to go back through and delete 6 or so rants from the blog. I think that stories about how I was dissed on Turkey Day need not be aired in such a public manner. If you can't say anything nice about someone...(only I keep coming back to the Steel Magnolias ending to that phrase "...come sit by me!"). I guess I'm not about keeping it real. I read back through a couple of posts and felt positively ill that people were reading them. And I'm not just talking about the embarrassment I should feel over the poor grammar.

Now I feel all pressured. Like I should up the ante or something. Stay tuned for Wordless Wednesday. Y'all are about to see something amazing*.

Anyway, enough of this dumbass boring post about blogging.

* Yeah, I have no idea yet. But I can promise you that no eggs were or will be harmed in my photography endeavors. I can't say the same for the egg cup.
