Close Encounter - Now without the restraining order

I'm at a point in my illness that I can finally go out and be with the three-dimensional people. And lucky for me! I gain freedom on the very day this woman is coming to town:

Wish her luck. I'm sure she will be doubled over in laughter and regaling the masses with tales of my supreme brilliance all over her blog (things like, "Uh, what was with that girl that didn't say anything coherent and kept grinning at me in that creepy way?").

I'll consider the encounter a success if there aren't any restraining orders filed.

Peace out.

P.S. Ree? I'll use some Purell prior to shaking your hand and I'll bring Candy Cane Joe Joes to take the edge off the creepy. And no, I have not been drinking. Why do you ask?

Where I was is where I'm going

I've been sick.

For eight weeks now.

I've been to the internist.

I've been to the Ear/Nose/Throat Dr.

I've been to the emergency room.

I've wished I was admitted to the hospital.

I felt good for three days and in turn did too much. I then spent two day straight in bed as punishment.

My eyes have swollen in my head.

My entire face swelled up.

My lymph nodes in my neck swelled up.

Apparently I'm now allergic to Penicillin.

I broke out in hives that made the palms of my hands and the bottoms of my feet itch like the devil.

I've had bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsillitis and currently an ear infection that has blocked my ear for two weeks and still going strong.

The good news? The steroids reduced all the swelling going on.

It still isn't over. The consensus is that if adults got mono, that is what I have. They are calling my illness Mono-like. I'm pretty sure if I'm within a 5-mile radius of the swine flu, I'll get it and anything else floating around.

So that's where I've been. I'm glad to hear it is a virus and not something more insidious. It is still annoying. I promise not to bitch in my next post about illnesses but thought I'd explain my absence.

We now return to our previously scheduled programming...

Breaking the all the rules

Think we'll have to do an afternoon bath, instead of waiting until after dinner.
